How to Feel Less Mental Stress

How to Feel Less Mental Stress

We all know matcha as an antioxidant powerhouse, but did you know that drinking matcha tea is known to make you feel less mental stress? That's because matcha contains L-theanine. L-theanine is an amino acid that increases alpha waves in the brain. L-theanine works by increasing GABA, dopamine and serotonin, the natural brain chemicals which are responsible for a feeling of calm and well-being! The caffeine in matcha is also about half the amount of coffee, which is a major reason why you don't feel those jitters whatsoever. The caffeine also doesn't ware off in an hour or so compared to coffee, it is longer sustained and there is no crash either!

With all these health, mental, and energy benefits from matcha, no wonder why it is continuing to grow popularity. Adding this to your diet will do wonders, and you will see the impact it has on your daily routine.

The matcha powder is traditionally drank as a tea, but with the access to it nowadays, it can be consumed in many forms. This includes matcha latte, in yogurt, in smoothies, and even in baked goods! Regardless of the way it is ingested, it doesn't take away from the superfood properties in the finely ground green powder.
